The Requirements of Bail Bonds

Our Agents Are on Your Side

Trust A-Alliance Bail Bonds, Inc., to guide you through every step of the bail bond process. For this service, the defendant is charged a percentage of the bail amount. Bail premiums typically begin at 10% of the total bail bond, plus any additional fees that may be incurred. Bail premiums are mandated by our surety, though we are willing to negotiate Payment Plans if needed.

Posting Bail

Before being released, the defendant, relative, or friend of the defendant typically contacts a bail agent to arrange for the posting of bail. Prior to the posting of a bail bond, the defendant or a cosigner (indemnitor) must guarantee that they will pay the full amount of the bail bond and any and all out-of-pocket expenses, in addition to any performance and compliance expenses if the defendant does not appear in court or adhere to the contractual undertakings. Typically, a family member or a close friend of the defendant will post bail and cosign.

The Necessities of Posting Bail

Collateral • Legal Identification
2 Concurrent Pay Stubs from Current Employment—Bank Statement Also Acceptable

Also Needed Is a Utility Bill with Current Address—Gas, Water, Electric, Phone, or Cable

Alternatives

The bail must be paid in cash, unless other arrangements have been previously authorized. In cases of a 10-99 or independent contractor status, a tax return and bank statement might be required. Cosigners or the indemnitor typically need to be working and either own or rent an apartment or home.

Release

After the bail is posted, the jail release process may take a few minutes to several hours. This depends on either the person's completion of the booking process and/or the congestion of the jail facility. Contact us for more information.
